What matters most
to you, and are you living it?
This exercise helps you name your core values, see how closely your day-to-day life reflects them, and plan a few small steps toward the life you want. It takes about 25 minutes, and you will get a summary at the end that you can download as a PDF or email to yourself.
No email required. Your answers stay on your screen and are not saved or sent anywhere, so keep this page open until you have printed or saved your summary.
Imagine yourself at 90
Take a few minutes with this before you start sorting. You can read it slowly, or close your eyes after each part.
Picture yourself at 90 years old, looking back on a life that feels full and well lived. Where are you, and who is with you?
Which memories do you return to most often? What are you proud of, and what are you grateful for?
From that vantage point, what do you believe mattered most?
Sort the cards
Keeping your 90-year-old self in mind, place each value in one of three piles. Go with your first reaction. You can move cards between piles at the end.
Choose your top five
If you could only keep five of these values for the rest of your life, which would they be? Tap to choose five, then use the arrows to put them in order of importance.
How are you living them today?
Now come back to the present. Thinking about the past month, how fully does the way you spend your time, energy, and attention reflect each value? Be honest rather than hopeful.
Close the gap
ReflectFor example, Sexuality, Romance, Pleasure, Emotional Intimacy, Authenticity, Fun & Playfulness, Adventure, Health, or Self-Respect.
Your values, in your words
There is no score here, and no right answer. Most people find some distance between what matters most and how they are living right now, especially during demanding seasons of life. The aim is to notice where that distance is and choose one small step at a time.
Keep your results
Download PDF saves a copy of your summary to your device. Email to Myself opens your own email app with your summary ready to send. Either way, nothing passes through this website. Bring your copy to your next session if you would like to talk it through.
